You are free to copy, display and distribute IGF work, or include our content in other works, under the following conditions:
Attribution. You must clearly attribute the work as indicated on the page in question, and provide a link back to the work on IGFMIning.org. For publications, please provide links to the landing page(s), rather than distributing PDF documents. This ensures access to the latest available information, in the event that the publication is revised or more research is published.
Non-commercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes without explicit prior permission from IGF (see below for Commercial Use).
No Derivatives. You may not alter, transform, or build upon this work. For original data files published on this site under a Creative Commons license, you may use the data to produce your own charts or other data visualizations.
Linking directly to content on IGFMining.org is allowed, provided it be done so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation. You must not establish a link to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
Some content on the site(s) may be labelled with copyright restrictions, however. Where our site(s) contain links and resources provided by third parties, these are provided for information only. We have no control over those links, sites or resources, and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use.
Permission is required when reproducing, not simply quoting, a large amount (more than 300 words) of IISD website or publication text for uses such as textbooks and trade books, course packets and on websites. Many publications, particularly those in which other organizations share authorship, carry a more restrictive copyright owing to the policies of the other organizations. These publications are marked “All Rights Reserved.” Please check the second page of pdf publications for specific copyright information.
Many of the photographs featured on our site(s) and in publications have either been licensed under non-transferable terms, or have been acquired from stock agencies or photo sharing sites that have their own use policies. Permission to use photos must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
DATA & MAPS
Data, charts, graphs and maps frequently employ data from third parties. We cannot grant permissions to the original data used in these charts, please contact the third party organizations directly.
VIDEO AND AUDIO
IGF videos and any audio productions such as speeches are covered under the Creative Commons policy.
Commercial Use or High Definition Outputs
IGF content such as video is available for commercial use. Our rate sheet describes the costs to organizations for IGF to disseminate the content in high quality formats. Rates are set at scale, starting with our cost recovery level for educational institutions and non-profit users.
For questions about this policy or to seek a license to use content produced by the Intergovernmental Forum for Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development, please review the above policy and contact the Publications Coordinator.
