An Argentine national, Isaác Gonzalo Arias Esteban joined the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) Secretariat in 2008 as a specialist in the Tax Research Management Office and is currently director of International Cooperation and Taxation in the same organization. From 1998 to 2008, he held different positions in various areas of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues of Argentina. He is a public accountant with a master’s degree in finance management granted through a joint program of Universidad de El Salvador in Argentina and the State University of New York. He has participated in many international activities promoted by CIAT, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Inter-American Development Bank, International Monetary Fund, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, World Bank, International Tax Dialogue, International Tax Compact, and others.
