Juliana Cubillos works with the IGF's Global Mining Tax Initiative developing research and practical guidance and delivering technical assistance on tax policy for governments.
Juliana is a lawyer with over 10 years of experience in tax policy and law. Before joining the IGF, Juliana was a senior consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Colombia, specializing in tax consulting for major national and multinational firms. She also worked as an associate in tax litigation at Baker & McKenzie. Since 2019, Juliana has been conducting doctoral research at Leiden University’s Institute for Tax Law and Economics, focusing on the motivations of countries to implement international tax standards.
Juliana holds an advanced master’s degree in international tax law from the University of Amsterdam and a master’s degree in tax law from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and German.
